Don't worry about. You'll never amount to anything on the court....

1. Run back and let the ball drop lower before hitting it.>
2. Take the ball early off the bounce before it gets high (I find it>>very difficult to do this).>
i don't know where you are playing, but the problem with letting the ball bounce is that on public courts there is only so much distance between the back line and the fence. if you let the ball bounce, the ball may still be too high when you are backed up to the fence (i've had that experience).
hitting the ball early is a difficult thing to do because the timing is so different from what you would normally use. however, if the ball is high with a lot of topsin, and looks like it is going to land deep in the court, you may want to give it a try to take the ball early. if it looks like it isn't going to land so deep, you might be able to just let it bounce.
would hit it out. Adopting a semi-western grip and swing would be a> better solution. But that will require good timing and some practice.>
the timing requirements for the semi-western grip are not really that much different from those of an eastern grip. it's when you get into these crazy extreme western grips and multisegment mechanics that you run into timing problems.
