	i'd say "voltchkov", who made it to the semis of the 2000 Wimbledon. Talk about an easy match for Sampras, his 2000 draw was pathetically weak. My database is sketchy on qualifiers going back into 1970s, but I have these players making QF or better: John McEnroe -- 1977 Wimbledon SF Bob Giltinan -- 1977 Australian SF Paul Annacone -- 1984 Wimbledon QF Ricardo Acuna -- 1985 Wimbledon QF Goran Ivanisevic -- 1989 Australian QF Thierry Champion -- 1990 Roland Garros QF Adrian Voinea -- 1995 Roland Garros QF Filip Dewulf -- 1997 Roland Garros SF Marcelo Filippini -- 1999 Roland Garros QF Nicolas Escude -- 1999 US Open QF Vladimir Voltchkov -- 2000 Wimbledon SF will note the lucky players besides Sampras to play qualifiers this late in a slam include Agassi (both Filippini/Escude), Guga (Dewulf), and Connors (Mac/Annacone/Acuna).
