I'm as glad as you are that "it's not the wrist" but it's still a cause for concern. Is her body starting to break down at the ripe old age of 21, almost 22?

True, but she may end up missing it anyway, depending on the severity of the injury. I guess all the stuff she's been saying about not liking clay is getting to her!! -- Luke Croll ABDK FAQ: http://home.earthlink.net/~abdk-faq/faq.htm

My first thought too watching the match. When I saw the trainer coming, I thought please not the wrist.
Strange match it was. Kim was unusually erratic. She was up 5-3 in the 1st set, then Patty had three set points at 5-6, 0-40, but then Kim won the set in the tiebreak anyway.
Then she was up 5-1 in the second, had four match points, but just couldn't finish the match. I am not sure exactly when the injury happened. I was glad it was "just" the knee. It didn't look that serious, so I first thought she just quit because she didn't want to take any risks at the moment. But there have been all kinds of stories that she might miss FO, so that doesn't sound too good.
