If JHH wins, she returns to #15. Note incidentally that Clijsters has a few points to defend from Berlin, so she has some distance to go to guarantee a Top 16 Roland Garros seed. But I'd say Dechy is in trouble.
QUALIFYING POINTS: Chladkova: 9.75 Kirilenko: 17.75 Safarova: 6.5

Isn't Dechy likely to be saved by the non-appearance of Capriati at the FO? Assuming that Capriati isn't making a comeback at the FO, of course.

Possibly, and it would be no surprise if someone else ended up getting hurt. But the way to be *sure* of a Top 16 seed is to be Top 16, and there is a strong chance Dechy won't be.

No. JHH isn't worth many quality points these days. It would improve her chances of passing Myskina at Berlin, though.
On the other hand, it really doesn't matter. They will both be Top Eight seed for Roland Garros, they will not be Top Four (this is for all intents and purposes guaranteed) -- and, unless somebody miraculously cures Myskina's shoulder, Kuznetsova will be ranked higher after Roland Garros.

Yes. What pctage of Myskina's points are her FO win? Quite a lot, I assume -- she didn't have a lot of other great events last year, other than Fed Cup (which doesn't count).

Capriati is not on the entry list for the French, so I think Dechy is in good shape. Not an absolute, I suppose, if someone like Farina Elia went deep at one of the Tier Is, but I don't think Dechy is defending much on clay, so she may be able to add points to her total as well. (Come to think of it, the only really strong results I can think of for Dechy are the Aussie SF and the New Haven F.)

I'm thinking she'll still be in the top ten after the French because she did have some decent results after Paris last year - she won in Moscow, was a finalist to Davenport in San Diego, and made the SF at the Olympics & the YE Champs. (To be fair, my assessment is considering Capriati will lose a fair amount that she's unable to defend, and Zvonereva's lucky to win back-to-back matches these days.) But she'll probably be on the verge of the top ten, and dropping out over the summer unless she can turn things around.

Granville, Nakamura, and Morigami are only through the QF of their respective $50K Challengers; I haven't checked the SF results yet.
