Well, to be fair, I think a lot of people might do something stupid if they'd just lost at Wimbledon and their marriage was crumbling. Maybe not quite as stupid as Becker did -- but what were the odds the woman would get pregnant? (Although she sounds like quite a piece of work, too.)
You have to feel sorry for the kid, who is apparently stuck with an insane parent and an originally unwilling one, plus a load of publicity about her life that she doesn't really need.
