How has Anne Smith's progress been since she started playing, not heard > anything about how things have gone for her?
Saint Paul was the last event at which she could get a main draw wildcard (only three allowed per year). She hasn't added any points since (though I suppose she could have played qualifying at a $10K).
She has been selected as coach of Boston's WTT team.

She played qualifying at the Dothan $75K Challenger which will be added to the rankings this week, and lost 0-6 0-6 to Carly Gullickson.
In the main draw, Granville is the #1 seed; interesting unseeded players include Meilen Tu, Clarisa Fernandez, Ashley Harkleroad (!), and Mirjana Lucic (!!).
This is actually Ashley Harkleroad's second tournament back; she was the #6 seed at Jackson last week where she lost to Lina Stanciute in the opening round.

Yes, but Smith was (and is) still playing senior events. This is different: She's willing to go out there and play Challengers. She's risking a great deal, with no guarantee of anything. Had she just wanted to play -- even play more -- she could have done that without giving up her job and her career. She wants to play tennis; no question. But that wasn't the choice she made.
