I think Fed has a very tough draw, but won't be easy for any of them.
A tough draw that starts with Rusedski and then a non-Top-500 player on clay? It's a nice draw, I would say.
Also, look at Mathieu's clay record. He, like most Frenchmen, is better on fast surfaces -- though, unlike most Frenchmen, he doesn't have the brains to realize it; he played the South American clay circuit this spring -- and suffered for it. Beck also prefers faster surfaces, as does Johansson. If the seeds were to hold (which they won't, not in that quarter), Coria is in for an easy ride.
Safin's is pretty nice, too. I'd say Gaudio has it the worst.

Fed gets it tough from the third round, but as someone who has won Hamburg, I think he'll be OK. More bad luck for Rusedski in terms of draws, though. -- Luke Croll ABDK FAQ: http://home.earthlink.net/~abdk-faq/faq.htm

At this point, and on clay, my grandmother would be a tough draw for Greg Rusedski. And she doesn't play tennis, in case you're wondering.
Federer... if he *is* the very best (and I think he is) then any draw he's in is bad for everyone else. He's the biggest obstacle - to himself as well as others. But I don't see this draw as being especially difficult.
