i just got to work and saw the scoreline on the tournament website, well i coudln't find it as i was looking under live scores, thinking there was no way it could be over- it was 2-0 when i walked out the front door.
i find it hard to believe that sharapova, having won the last 2 matches against davenport in 3 sets, could be hammered like this now... she must have been injured somehow?
Terminator Maria doesn't need a fan like you. to say your ashamed to be a fan because Maria got whopped badly in 1 match so far this year makes you look more stupid then you already are.

Not as bizarre in practice as it might seem. Davenport was as sharp as I've ever seen her; Sharapova had none of the intensity she depends on, just having a bad day. It's bound to happen sometimes. The body (even a teenaged body) isn't really built to stay that keyed up that long and that often.
Next Davenporter vs. Clisters. Who do you believe in?
Clisters will be No.38 if she wins. But I really hope Davenporter can continue her amazing form today....

I expect this from Safin, but apparently it was windy & one of those days.... as someone said at least she didn't pull out - that's classy. We've seen Serena pull out numerous times when getting flogged, bullshitting about some injury lol... : )
