Pro Kennex and tennis elbow

Somesh Jha 10 March 2005 03:37:29
 Hi:

I have battled tennis elbow in the past. One of my friends claims that
Pro Kennex racquets are good for tennis elbow. Two questions:

1) Does anyone have experience corroborating that?

2) If do, can one suggest a model?

Please reply to jha@cs.wisc.edu. I only read newsgroups sporadically.

Thanks

Somesh

I did start playing with a pro kennex, and I had troubles with my elbow, but
I tend to blame my technics :-)

I reckon tennis elbow is due to bad technique rather than equipment

Courtesy note prior to my answer: you don't post to newsgroups in order to
get replies by email.

Anyway, I recently found a site that should provide you at least alot of
what you are looking for - it is a site exclusively devoted to research and
racket evaluations wrt tennis elbow!

To the original poster:
go to my posting at:
Great fitness sites
http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=33800
check the
TE (Tennis Elbow) and Golfer's Elbow
section

Also, you might search the Health & Fitness forum there:
http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4
for articles related to tennis elbow, there are quite many.

PK seems to be indeed one of the recommended lines of rackets.
Another mentioned is Volkl.

I have used the Pk5G and am currently using the 7G.
They definitly will help alleviate elbow problems but you should also
make sure your technique is proper.
