it's not a big match - it's a tier II in a country most people would have trouble spelling..it's hardly the rebirth of conchita...that being said, good for her...she may still have a copuple more TIER IVs in her...
but this is no surprise...myskina is slumping badly (losses to peng, dechy, and now martinez), and i don't see her snapping out of it until she gets on a surface that is favorable for her, ie the northern autumn's hardcourt season, or even indoors...by that time, she may even be struggling to hold on to her top 10 rank..

Yeah, it's not a slam, but for a player who did nothing last year at all, she managed to upset an established top 10 players like Myskina, who did do great things last year, such as winning the FO. Although the tournament may be a tier II, it's got good attendance: Myskina, Mauresmo, Sharapova.

Yes, I was surprised at how poor Myskina has been so far this year. She had a decent run at Antwerp, but Venus Williams beat her. I'd be enormously surprised if she successfully defends the FO. -- Luke Croll The alt.books.dean-koontz FAQ is at: http://home.earthlink.net/~abdk-faq/faq.htm The ABDK Castle is at: http://home.earthlink.net/~koontz-castle/
