[What a shame. If there is one footballer who non-soccer loving Americans could get excited about enough to be curious to buy tickets, it's David Beckham. The irony is that Real Madrid won't be using him since he's suspended and just available for practise. Below is the revised US squad to face England]
Defenders: Gregg Berhalter (Energie Cottbus, Germany), Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham, England), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96, Germany), Cory Gibbs (Feyenoord Rotterdam, Netherlands), Eddie Pope (Salt Lake), Greg Vanney (Dallas)
Midfielders: Bobby Convey (Reading, England), Clint Dempsey (New England), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles), John O'Brien (ADO Den Haag, Netherlands), Steve Ralston (New England), Clyde Simms (D.C.), Kerry Zavagnin (Kansas City)
Forwards: Conor Casey (FSV Mainz, Germany), Eddie Johnson (Dallas), Brian McBride (Fulham, England), Josh Wolff (Kansas City)

It'll be pretty weak lineups on both sides, but otoh I'll be able to play gaborzinho fifty years from now, enthralling RSS readers with stories of how I was there the day Peter Crouch and Zat Knight played for England.
He may get a half, but since Keller is almost guaranteed to play both WCQs I think there's a good chance Arena doesn't bother. Thornton has been poor in MLS this year.
