Good to see Rory Fallon appears to have chosen to play for New Zealand, rather than England (well, good for us, at least) - he appeared as an U-17 international for England.

I'm reasonably upbeat about the team - provided the critical players (i.e. Nelsen, Vicelich, Hickey, maybe Coveny) are all fit and play (unlikely), we could run Australia close. We probably wouldn't need all thirty of them on the field at once, either.

No Elliot or Oughton? I thought they would be some of your better players.

Oughton is out with a right knee injury. I'm not sure about Simon Elliot (I didn't even recognise that he wasn't in the squad!) - but the squad above is loaded with younger talent. Perhaps he has fallen out of favour?

Does Gavin Wilkinson not get called any more. Saw him play for Portland several times, and although a bit slow and lumbering, he is very effective and rarely makes mistakes.
