FIFA have launched a probe into the crowd violence which marred Scotland's WCQ in Italy last saturday. It is understood that a group of fans from Verona clashed with rivals who follow Inter Milan during the second half of Scotland's 2-0 defeat at the San Siro. Riot police moved in to quell the unrest,which occurred under the section containing the 10,000 Scotland fans. World football's govening body have now received reports from Greek referee Kyros Vassaras and FIFA's own delegate,both of whom mention the incident. Scottish Football Association chief executive David Taylor said he does not expect the Tartan Army to be directly involved in the probe.No Scottish supporter was arrested at the match.
