Fleetwood Mac and Rush over Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Doors, King Crimson (!!), Police... that's silly, at least. U2 and Yes are highly debatable, too, although Yes ARE great.

I take Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, and the Beatles and I can't choose between them really.

I like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Doors a lot. But Deep Purple and>Black Sabbath were not as successful on the US charts. They definitely>dont have many top 10 albumson the US charts. The Doors performed>poorly in the UK charts and they werent great on the US charts either.
Not great? Every album featuring new material was a top ten album.
The Police did well in the US... Synchronicity of course went no.1.....it's difficult to read album chart places in the US though because Billboard has them all over the place.

What? All the Police's studio albums have gone platinum or> multi-platinum in the U.S. Even if all you care about is U.S. chart> position on first release, it's still pretty good:> Outlandos d'Amour -- 23> Reggatta de Blanc -- 25> Zenyatta Mondatta -- 5> Ghost in the Machine -- 2> Synchronicity -- 1>
If that's not good enough for you, you drive a pretty hard bargain, my> friend. And we haven't even mentioned the Police's extremely successful> singles.>
Police rock - great live band, perfection in studio. Peak goat imo.
