Last Wed I cleaned and waxed two pairs of skis with hopes of a Thursday ski.
The wax was a thin ironed in coat of swix HF10. I did not scrape, and did not end up skiing Thursday.
Should I thicken the coat for summer storage, or should this do it (As we are having a week of 50+ degrees, with lots of rain, I think my season is over).

I think you can get at least one more day at Waterville this weekend.Sad to see HF10 go to waste. If not, I would put a thicker coat of CH 10 on for storage. IMHO Fitzgerald Derry,NH <ahall@no-spam-panix.com> wrote in message news:kpgvf7apb4q.fsf@panix3.panix.com...>

Oops. My bad. Just checked weather and it looks like more rain on Saturday and Sunday. Fitzgerald "Fitzgerald" <cnlfitz@comcast.net> wrote in message news:VaOdnbpGSOHGItTfRVn-2g@comcast.com...> I think you can get at least one more day at Waterville this weekend.Sad

Yes. Waterville is my usual/favorite destination. The grooming is superb and the North End trails get and hold snow early and late into the year. The only criticisms I hear are that the trails are either up or down. Tons of climbing and tons of descending with a fairly small amount of flat for cruising. It can be a challenging place to ski. You can expect to see the Freemans as well as Carl Swenson on their trails during Christmas break. Lee Fitzgerald Derry,(86 miles from Waterville)NH

That is what I like. I will check it out next year, it is more of a haul for me, but it sounds like it is worth it.
