I thought I was being lazy leaving it 4 weeks, I did mine tonight, I guess we are at opposite ends of the spectrum with respect to skate sharpening! Mind you I can't do any of the stuff you can do on blunt edges even with mine perfect

Sounds like you still have a bit of a hockey-stop style. If you run ROH of 7/16, an edge skid won't work very well at all ... like you said. I spent a while in public sessions forcing myself to use tstops even when some kid stumbled in front of me. I can do a tstop quick now. I had help from inline tstops .. for exactly the same reason. Skidding wheels on cement is nuts. Other thing I worked was pick stops. I do them in normal skating .. esp from high speeds. I'll flip backwards and hit my toepicks if I have a lot of speed. Anyway, once you feel safe with the tstop and pickstops, then you are free to stay with the deep ROH, and not feel like skidding is an issue. I'm using 7/16 now, and I can remember skaters squawking about that being too deep. Now, I hear that same crew talking about 3/8 ROH as a norm ??
