"all those with that type of nylon ball cage, are always oiled, never> greased" is a false statement.
False? Err, I meant FROM THE FACTORY. Name one nylon-caged bearing that comes greased from the factory... can't do it.
As far as Bones bearings only comming with oil, that is obvious.> Bones are expensive.> People who want them usually want to go as fast as possible.
But I said Bones *type* bearings. Perhaps I should've said Bones CONFIGURATION. For instance, there's the low-end Bones Reds, marketed to the skateboard crowd. Virtually NO ONE considers these inline speed bearings, yet they come oiled. Then there's the even cheaper and sloppier Mini-Logo bearings, also Bones-esque, also oiled. Can't think of any other nylon-caged brands right off the bat.
Oh well, my Reds were cheap, ergo, I shall experiment on them with grease, that gooey nectar of the maintenance-averse skater.

Thanks. I've now greased the Bones Reds and they're better than ever. My next set of bearings that come oiled will get the oil replaced with grease right away, to avoid the accelerated wear. Plus I like the way grease gathers at the inner race, and acts as a barrier to keep out dirt.
R. Nett of nettracing.com thinks the BSB Swiss are a great combo of speed and longevity, so I'll put them on my list.
