1. Progressive runs worked keeping the blade low and on the ice. Dancer here said do a little flick of the blade at the extension of each stroke, but keep it low. 2. Chasse and slide chasse. I came up with a drill working it to both sides. When I pick up the free skate, I do it flat, and then I lean a bit and push from the placed skate into an extended glide. Not too big, but at least showing the full stroke. Pointing the free skate forward seems a little hokey to me, but it that is what they want, they got it. 3. Cross behinds at end of Rhythm Blues: that is neat. I got that right away, and combined it with the crosses in front. Good way to really bust if you don't get the skate on edge quickly and curve it to the next cross. I used a lot of arms to check this thing so it can't run straight.
Lot of fun, but holy cat, I'm tired. Need to be about 40 years younger. Ladies were there, so just had to jump. Stupid.

You'll get fit very soon - I'm probably similar in age to you, and I manage to dance for well over an hour most days. -- "Mrs Redboots" mailto:annabel@amsmyth.demon.co.uk http://www.amsmyth.demon.co.uk/ Website updated 4 March 2005 with a new photo

All good coaches do, I think. -- "Mrs Redboots" mailto:annabel@amsmyth.demon.co.uk http://www.amsmyth.demon.co.uk/ Website updated 4 March 2005 with a new photo

It's great fun seeing someone dance this. Do you partner or are you solo? Janet

how on earth do you do those quick cross steps?>Lyle
They're the only bit of the Paso I can do! We do have them in low-level dances here (Riverside Rhumba, Festival Cha-cha), so I'm used to them.... -- "Mrs Redboots" mailto:annabel@amsmyth.demon.co.uk http://www.amsmyth.demon.co.uk/ Website updated 20 March 2005
