I am a member of a USFS-affiliated skating club. The club of which I'm a member is quite large ... between 600 and 700 members, of which probably half or more are active skaters, and some of the rest are parents of active skaters.
We do not specifically do any fund raising.
We are a registered 501(c) non-profit.

I belong to two skating clubs and have two cool club jackets
One club is my "home" club, under Skate Canada, this is the club that I would represent in competition and who keeps my test records. The other club is the one that I actually pay ice fees to and skate on their ice. In the summer I skate at two other clubs as "guest" skates, but always belong to my "home" club. I grew up there so have kept it as my club of record. All of these clubs are non-profit and their biggest expense is the ice. They fundraise with the usual selling of chocolate and such, but the biggest fundraiser by far is annual ice shows.
