[Lions] RFU and Sir Clive Five in hate mail shocker

MoftR 8 May 2005 16:29:16
In that very British way, the legal weasels [because they are always
weasels] of the RFU are serving notice on a Sir Clive Five of coaches
for helping out with the boys at those pre-tour bondage sessions. Seems
to me the RFU wish a NZ victory in the test series before he departs to
Southampton FC. Shame on HQ, shame.

"Woodward hurt by RFU Lions stance
Sir Clive Woodward
Woodward said he was "not surprised" by the RFU's actions
Lions coach Sir Clive Woodward has vowed not to let the Rugby Football
Union's attitude towards the tour derail his plans for victory.

The RFU reportedly sent letters to five England coaches warning them
against devoting too much time to the Lions."

So Sir Clive is getting a taster of the appalling arrogance that
characterises English rugby.
