Overkill

St. George 21 April 2005 09:57:35
 Enjoyed this 'Letter-2-D-Editor' in yesterday's D. Telegraph.

Overkill?

Sir, I too was bewildered by the decision to take 20 English players in the
Lions squad to New Zealand (Apr 15). As was so capably demonstrated in
Wellington two years ago, it only takes 13 Englishmen to beat the All
Blacks.

No sour grapes but remind me how long only 13 were on the field for? Wasn't
long it think. During that time a scrum had to be reset a million times
(good play by england most likely), then So'aiolo took it off the back,
scored (I thought england player came from behind, and his knees pushed into
Rodney's arm, thus propelling it over the line), but a penalty was given to
England. Much more time wasting and the 2 men advantage was gone.

Bye the Bye - do you know why Woodward is taking such a large playing party
to NZ this time ?
Well from past experience they usually get targeted and clogged so much that
by the time the final game comes around they struggle to find fifteen
survivors.

Happpppppppppy Everythings for the time being.

I'm off to the garden, bowling and cricket until the fun starts with the
Lions.

Yeah but the joke only works when you're winning. See we'll make jokes about
you until the next time you beat us, then you can make jokes about us.

Listen Ginger, because you say "no sour grapes" doesn't mean that you
arent displaying prize winning sour grapes to all and sundry.

You went off on a right whine about how you saw it and how the team
wasted time by cheating and how the ref fucked up your win.

You're a sad man. Live with it. Maybe youd be better supporting soccer
where its derigeur to slam the ref at every opportunity that your teams
gets whacked.

I think you'll find it was you who started talking about cheating...

Yep, every time England loses, they blame the ref.

Get f*cked loser, read my post:

"During that time a scrum had to be reset a million times (good play by
england most likely)"

How the f*ck is that a whine? And where did I mention cheating. I only
mentioned good play. I did say that the ref cost us a try, yes, but I also
said he gave us one.

The original poster was saying how 13 men beat the ABs. All I was saying was
that the 13men on the field was not for very long, and during that period
there was not much game-time. England beat the ABs. But not with 13 men.

Anyway, they had a minimum of 15 at all times.

Carlos and Dickheadson were playing for them too.

And of course, during the RWC they had more than 15 men on the field
on occasion. I do believe they had to haul out the QC to argue their
case for at least one of those times.

Not that he should be, but yon St George didn't actually say that
everything/everybody *was* in their place.

More sloppy work Patrick. No wonder you can't get a promotion at Homes &
