Well for a start off you're a joke if you don't know. and yes it is an
Australian trait that your players and team's are mostly cleared of all
wrong doings. For a start off Sailor head butt Blackie and then belted
him.he should have been suspended and that's that. Australia has an uncanny
knack of getting off scott free for infringments which players from other
nations would be severely punished.
This applies to all Australian sport eg. cricket cycling swimming etc.
Shane Warne, Waugh, Remaining heroes
Hansie Cronjie.died a disgraced hero.

He gave him a push and stood his ground as he is entitled to do. A head
but - no way. More like a lean on his forhead. Just how soft are these
NZers? Nah, they like to resort to such charming exploits as eye gouging and
forearm jolts. Reds were pathetic though. Sharpe should head to Perth now.
Overrated Latham useless as usual. Ref was worse. had a shocker. And did
nothing about Highlanders faking injuries ad nauseum . A blight on the game.

Consistency is the problem. When a player gets done for a similar (but less
serious offence) you expect a similar penalty even though the judicial team
is from a different country. They need to address the issue ASAP as they
only make themselves look foolish when these incidents happen.

Cheers, aMtt

The joke is that Aussies will scream blue murder as soon as someone else
does something wrong, but will always look the other way when it's one of
their own crossing the line.
Sailor's case is just one of the many examples of this.

exactly - Tune, Warne, The Aussie Cycling team, Sailor... the list goes
on and on.

Ali Williams given 6 weeks for stomping McCaw by the NZ judiciary a week
after the Aussie judiciary gave a 2 week ban to an Aussie for the same
offense.

It's a fact - Aussies don't properly punish their cheats. This is
hardly the first time it's ever happened.

judiciary.

Riiiight. "Hardman" Sailor headbutts and punches Josh Blackie and the

Someone should cite the bloody Aus judiciary... and when they bring in some
NH refs, bring in a formal judiciary. If it is an Aus team, then it should
be the other voting members without the bias.

reckon its worth 3 for the kiss, and 2 for the punch.
Reds with no chance for finals, that'd write him off for rest of season, and
with last 2 years performance, doubt he'd get reselected.

It's in their blood, look at their heritage.

So should we be sending Dell back to Port Arthur?
Don;t think we could stand the night long sobbing from his cell

Well for a start off you're a joke if you don't know. and yes it is an> Australian trait that your players and team's are mostly cleared of> all wrong doings. For a start off Sailor head butt Blackie and then> belted him.he should have been suspended and that's that. Australia> has an uncanny knack of getting off scott free for infringments which> players from other nations would be severely punished.> This applies to all Australian sport eg. cricket cycling swimming etc.

This disgruntlement you feel towards Australia is certainly a defining trait
of our identity as New Zealanders, along with Phar Lap and Pavlova which the
OKKERS stole from us. However I think we have to be a little careful here. I
recall before the last Olympics when there was a lot of hoo-ha over drug use
in Australian cycling. It was certainly very big news here in NZ, the lead
story on all the tv news bulletins and the subject of much comment in
newspaper editorials. The NZ herald in particularly rather gleefully
commented on what a satisfying thing this was to have happened, given the
apparent hypocrisy of Australia on such matters. It even went on to suggest
that such a thing could never happen in NZ because our testing processes
were "leap years" ahead of the Australians.

Fast forward a month or so and we have our own grubby little controversy.
Firstly a NZ cyclist has to withdraw form the games because he has taken an
illegal substance. You obviously didn't hear much about it over there in
Australia as Australians do not appear to be anywhere near as obsessed with
Kiwis as we are with them, but you can read about it here->

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/index.cfm?ObjectID=3588148

But if that wasn't bad enough, it turns out that as we were smarmily
congratulating ourselves on having a superior testing regime to the
Australians it appears that one of our very own cyclists had already
returned a postive drug test. And what's more this very cyclist competed for
NZ at the Olympics despite being under a drug cloud, and our officials were
apparently oblivious to all this. Again I suspect that it never made the
news over there in Australia, but you can read about it here->

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/index.cfm?ObjectID=6500338

and here->

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/index.cfm?ObjectID=9001657

I think the moral of all this is that we need to get over this inferiority
complex we have regarding the OKKERS. Of course it's only human nature to be
bitter and resentful towards those that we perceive as being better than us.
But I believe it's about time we took a reality check. The truth is the
Australians are small fries in the world of chemical cheating in sport, as
indeed are we. Neither of us are in the same league as the SEPPOS for
example. You only need to read up about the complex intrigues of the BALCO
case involving US track and field, or the rampant steroid abuse in US
baseball and football to realise this.

Perhaps you should get with the concept of this thread.
