Real gutsy performance in the second half.
This Welsh man thought that "it" was a try by the way!

Take that second half performance to Twickers next week and you wont go far
wrong.
Wales in a grand slam game ( for all the right reasons this time ), I can't
wait.
Cheers LJ.

Not sure what you're on about guys, Wales blew Scotland away inside 10 > minutes, there was a touch of panto after that.> Ireland looked shaky against France, Wales look likely to thump them.

Maybe someone could point the try-line out to them - they seem to have
forgotten where it is. It was cringe-worthy hearing the crowd going
wild every time the Irish got a 3-pointer - is it that they don't get
to see many points scored so go over the top with their celebrations
for penalties?

I would say Scotland blew themselves away. The first try will have old
Scots like Calder, Hastings or Jeffrey choking on their single malt
for months. The second was as soft a 14 point reversal as I've ever
seen. 3-1 overlap, minimum, and the player picked out was Williams for
an interception. After that, Wales ran riot in the first half, sure.

I look at the Scottish backs and the English backs, and thank my lucky
stars.

We'll see. Wales looked pretty shaky against France themselves for the
first half. I can't see Ireland giving Wales an easy time, somehow.

England will flatten them, even with the home advantage.

The4 6N has become a tournament in the professional era, with games almost
every week. Hard games.

Wales did take their foot of the pedal in the second half, witness for
example their clinical decision for that late kicked penalty. They didn't
need the points. It is a game now where key players are subbed when the
game is won to keep them fit and where the next game is almost more
important than the current game.

Suggesting that Wales won't beat Ireland in Cardiff implies a confidence
that isn't justified. I for one have no idea if they can do it but their
form suggests that they are capable of overcoming the bogey. I hope they do
but it's by no means a foregone conclusion. Why play the game otherwise?

True, but I'm not sure that was the reason.

Wales know that the title may come down to points difference. I'm
betting that at half time, Ruddock told them to kick penalties for goal
unless there was an obvious and easy opportunity, such as Peel had.
Their nice little cushion was haemorraging away at that point, and that
kick stemmed the tide.
