Millward attended a disciplinary hearing held last Thursday in Chester to
consider the allegations against him.
On Friday night St Helens supporters demonstrated against their Chairman and
chief executive, with McManus admitting to 'Rugby Leaguer & League Express'
that he was unhappy about events at Knowsley Road, as Saints defeated York
City Knights 62-0.
'The atmosphere at Knowsley Road was scandalous,' said McManus, who owns 64
percent of the shares in the club.
'At one stage I was genuinely frightened for our lives, and in reality the
supporters don't really know anything about this dispute. Do they really
think we would do anything to damage the club we love? I would love some of
the supporters to be able to put themselves in my shoes.'
St Helens are expected to give a decision early this week, with most pundits
predicting that they will look to dispense with their coach.

How the hell were they so frightened? All we did was chant in favour
of Millward throughout the match. There were a few people singing
"sack the board" but most (including me) didn't join in. The second
the final hooter went, they scarpered and didn't see any of the
post-match "sit-in" which only involved the fans singing.
I would love to put myself in his shoes, but as he wont tell us what's
going on, it's pretty difficult - he hasn't even told the other board
members. To be fair, the bad feeling is mainly towards the C E McGire
and not against McManus.
