I find I am getting to the position that Wales supporters were in a few years ago, in that they 'support Wales and anyone playing against England'. I found myself fervently supporting the Welsh this afternoon, not only because their 2nd half performance was stunning, but from a deep seated dislike of the way France have a habit of playing shite, and yet getting all the luck and 50/50 calls to win games (for ref look back at - Twickenham 2 weeks ago, Paris the week before that, the WC 1/4 final v Argentina years ago etc etc the list is fairly long!)
I also had the strange occurence of a Welsh friend of mine offering support fo us tomorrow in Dublin....surreal!

That's called 'supporting the underdog' isn't it?
No - eliminating the rival. Next round, he''ll be even more strangely supporting France - on the same basis.
This neutral is hoping Ireland can take France because a Wales-Ireland grand slam decider would be a study in contrasts, a fresh occurrence and a fitting finale. In any event, an interesting Lions selection trial.
