You've probably had this discussion before but as I'm new (and optimistic) I haven't seen this debate. Firstly do you think it's right for a French side to jump the ladder straight in to the Super League without having had an apprenticeship in the National Leagues and secondly does anyone else agree that it's about time that Hull Kingston Rovers were promoted?

Firstly they need some players, then some cash and finally a ground - > apart> from that they're top notch.>

You forgot to mention speccies, John!
Not to worry, though, perhaps they can use the former speccies of Halifax, Cas and two other as yet un-named clubs from what used to be called the heartland of the game.

I'm delighted to report that Cas are still getting a healthy crowd. In fact we got more playing 2nd Div Hunslet in the Northern Rail Cup yesterday (4,483) than the rubbish that was served up at Leigh v Salford (4,103 or thereabouts).
Also got around 6,000 for the game against York, and around 6,000+ for the away game against Fev where we took about 4,000 fans.
UTC will be relegated in their first season. Sorry, not relegated, they will finish bottom. Relegation won't count to them will it?

This has been my point throughout this ludicrous French debacle. I wonder what UTC's average gate has been over the last few years, and how many of their fans will travel week in, week out to away matches in England?
The game of Rugby League will survive because of teams like Castleford and Featherstone, not in spite of them!
What they should do is expland the superleague to have 15 theams then will have the 28 rounds by playing teams twice, and not having a 3rd match aginst certern teams. Take warrington last season because they got in to the playoff the previous season they had extra matches against "weaker" teams and last season they played stronger teams and missed out. so it goes to show that some teams that make the play offs are not as good as they appear to be.

Absolutely, but it won't happen because the 'big clubs' don't want to see their TV revenue reduced accordingly. Or at least it won't happen until on of the big clubs are threatened with relegation and then you'd be amazed what would happen.
