That Glaws game must put a spin on the 6N line up eh? Allen and Sinbad back in the mix along with Balshaw at FB for his tackling! If Sinbad and Sackey take the wings, that leaves Strettle and Allen as centres, me likey.... Still, let's see how the tigers et al go today. It's all looking good though.

Also wasn't too impressed with Cipriani who had one of his quiter
games, so Lambs stock is rising. Much as I like Allen, I think we'll
see Wilkinson or Flood at 12.
The Leicester game amused me. Most ineffectual debut by an SH signing
without a doubt has to go to Mauger. Llofreda chucked him in a bit
quick methinks.
Hardly surprising: in New Zealand we play on grass.

lol. I thought it was a bit much really. He's only been there 7 days
and was chucked straight in to a very big Heineken game.
If you saw a list of the matches Mauger has played in 2007 I expect you'd be shocked. He was one of the unfortunate few who was chosen by Henry to rest for the first half of the Super 14 but then lost his first-choice spot in the national team. The result is that he has hardly played.
I'll not
judge him too harshly on that basis, but it was a bad debut. It is
often the way that the 'star' signings end up adding less worth than
the sensible ones. Tito and Xavier Rush are on fire for Cardiff for
example,
Tito played for Taranaki and the Hurricanes for six or eight years without ever being mentioned as a possible All Black. However I'm not at all surprised he's making a good impression because he always did work hard, often in beaten packs.
Blowers is going well again at Bristol, yet Carlos's
inability to kick was almost single-handedly responsible for
Northampton being relegated last year. I'm still waiting to see if
Hayman, Jack and McAllister make an impact. Kelleher looks as though
he's spent the Autumn in a pie factory, and was a long way from being
sharp. At least Marshall has the respect to keep himself in shape,
even if he does have ridiculous facial hair.
It seems to be an inexact science: Blowers came back to NZ a couple of years ago but made no real impression, so buggered off again.
Is Ben Blair still alive, or has he been chopped up and consumed for morning tea with a dash of HP sauce?
