There's talk in today's paper of Rogers going back to fullback. THANK CHRIST FOR THAT.
The 'Tahs backline has been utterly toothless with Rogers at 10 - in fact, it's got worse with Rogers at 10, not better. The current 'Tahs have a good forward pack, a decent kicker and an ineffectual backline. They can't even score the occasional try off first phase anymore.
Rogers: great player but ordinary 10 - poor vision, option taking & organisation, surprisingly bad in defence and an average passing game.
The man is a terrific outside back and I do mean very outside because even his previous stint at outside center, under Jones, was marked by defensive lapses and over playing his hand. He's a wing or a fullback - leave him there.
Unfortunately Helengahau (sp?) looks like being the new 10 instead of Norton Knight. On Saturday night, McKensie talked about Norton Knight being "Mr Versatile" - great forwards coach, but he makes clanger decisions in the backs.
At least with Rogers at 15, he'll have the chance to recombine with Tiquiri in attack down the left, something which has worked well in the past and been sadly missed of late.

Can you be a great player with that many flaws?
Those flaws stop you from being a great 10, not from being a very effective line breaking outside back.
Can you seriously entertain him at 15 if he can't defend?>
Defense at 10 is very different to defense at 15 - both in quantity and quality.
