Nope. It was a squash for 50 minutes before AC Milan choked (maybe because of the lack of lunatics throwing flares and setting the field and their keeper on fire). After that, it got interesting. Great story though. Dudek's second save on the goalmouth scramble in the second OT, though... that was an awesome play.
That, and I hate ending any sporting event, hockey or soccer, on penalities. I understand why they have to do it in the earlier knockout rounds and at the World Cup, but for the Finals? C'mon, everyone's going home for the summer after this game, unless they're touring or doing some national team work.
Unlimited golden goal. That would be entertainment. If they're worried about players dropping dead, make for unlimited substitutions in overtime. That would be some drama, maybe a great play to win the game, maybe a boneheaded own goal that will make the player hang himself.
Instead, you get this penalities garbage...
