Meh. I eat there three or four times a year at best.
Maybe less now.
I'll just get 5 double cheeseburgers off the dollar menu and call it good.

I barely ever go there anymore myself, since I have to kind of watch the amount of beef that I eat or risk another crippling episode of gout. Don't care much about the fries, anyway, as I'm not a huge eater potatoes in general (me likes them mashed, anyways).

Didn't they change from good-tasting fries to "boiled in healthy> crap" about 20 years ago?>

At one point they were fried in lard - pure animal fat. Even Julia Child was on record as saying that the lard made them taste better and that the vegetable shortening wasn't as good.

You're probably thinking of movie theater popcorn, which stopped using> coconut oil about 10-15 years ago. It tasted hella better before the> change.
Well, a lot of the movie theater chains are also buying a lesser quality popcorn as well. The owner of a local chain was telling me about it. According to him it isn't that much cheaper to go with the kind the bigger chains use and that patrons to his theaters actually buy more popcorn than the national chains. By spending more he actually makes more of a profit than the others who only look at the purchase cost.
