*sigh*...someone needs to pull Shigeru Miyamoto to the side...

Really, they need to pull a Sega, or maybe pull a hybrid move, and concentrate on the handhelds, and make games for both Sony and Microsoft. Imagine Zelda or Mario with an online community aspect to it...
"Rockboy" <rockboy@rockboy.net> wrote> Anyway, how dare Nintendo not unnecessarily rush it's console out a year > early!
I looked at the paper today. There's one Nintendo game being advertised. "Donkey Konga".. There were two pages of Xbox and PS2 games.
I just don't see any developers jumping on board. It's not about "not rushing a console to market" or "how dare they...". It's about, "how many developers will develop games for the console?". I see no EA titles showing up on Cube, I see nothing by Rockstar, Nothing by Sega, I see Star Wars Episode III on Xbox and PS2, but not cube. I don't see Grand Theft Auto, Medal of Honor, Gods of War, Splinter Cell, Midnight Club, Grand Turismo, Wrestlemania, etc
I see developers flocking around PS2 and Xbox 360, and I hear Nintendo's going to create another console, and all I see is, "it's going to be the size of 3 CD cases"
They could make it the size of a cigarette pack, and if there aren't any games to play on it, who will care? How much longer before people tire of playing "Paper Mario 7" or "Mario Party 32"?
I'm sorry, but you really fucking suck at research.>
But I could go on and on and name tons of games that are selling *shitloads* > on PS2 and Xbox that simply aren't available for Cube. Rockstar being the > most *obvious* one.
I suspect the Game Cube's smaller capacity on it's discs hurt it with Rockstar. Hey, where's SquareEnix on the XBox?
Unreal Championship, Doom3, Star Wars...we're not talking about quality of > games,
Obviously. Unreal and Doom 3 are vastly superior on the PC.
or else we'd bring up crap like Mario Party,
A major seller.
or the shitty sequel to Metroid,
You're losing credibility.
we're talking about large *popular* franchises that simply don't > appear on Game Cube.
Hey, how about those popular Nintendo franchises that sell millions, only for Nintendo products?
Where's Doom for Game Cube?
Who cares, it shouldn't be on the console in the first place.
Midnight Club?
It's not *about* quantity OR> quality when it comes to "why aren't developers making any new gamecube > games? I haven't play a game cube game since zelda. There just hasn't been > anything *compelling* that's been developed since then.
Meh. I can say the same for the entire XBox lineup outside of Knights of the Old Republic, and I can the same for the entire all time line-up of the PlayStation 2.
One of my biggest issues with the XBox was it's size. Most people agree >>that the XBox and Game Cube are pretty equal when it comes to graphics >>(and the PS2 flat out sucks in comparison). So how come Nintendo can do >>it in a much smaller package?>
Ummm...gee...a network adapter, a fucking *hard drive*, a larger optical > drive that plays *DVD*s...you really fucking suck at research...lol
If you can fit those in a Mac Mini, you can fit lesser components in to a console the same size years ago.
I just don't think Nintendo stands a chinaman's chance of making a dent in > the console space...especially coming in almost two years after Xbox and a > year after Playstation.
2006 is next year dumbass. The Revolution is probably coming out around the same time as the PS3. The XBox 360 is coming out in late 2005. The Revolution is not coming out in late 2007. Don't be ignorant.
Take off the XBox blinders my friend, you're leading yourself in to some pretty stupid areas here.

This seems like THE reason for buying a Nintendo. Seriously. It's the MOST valid argument that anyone's made. It will ALL depend on the ability of Myamoto to develop compelling content for the next system.

The part I find funny is that consoles are the worst fucking way to play games online.
