Kayfabe-wise, run-ins are impromptu. The production team shouldn't have his music ready to play. That kind of illogical booking has ALWAYS bothered me.
And besides, the crowd would have popped regardless. Big run-ins don't include theme music 9 out of 10 times, and they still get pops.
It's nowhere near as stupid as Hogan having a 10 minute posedown while HBK> was being strangled.
That's not what happened, but I agree with your sentiment. Hogan should have rushed to the rescue rather than do his typical, slow ring entrance. Even if he's incapable of running now, he should have speed walked or something.
