I think Eddie is great as a heel, but let's face it, if he maintains the
same mannerisms, he's just gonna get face pops again in a few weeks
(Remember the summer of 03 when they tried turning him? I bet WWE
doesn't).

Turning Rey would be hard, but it would be interesting. If he were
bigger, he could be turned easily. But b/c he's always going to be
perceived as the underdog, he won't get a fair chance as a heel. Even in
the Filthy Animals, he got cheered (people probably booed b/c of Konan
and Eddie).

The booking was set up that a Rey turn would have come from nowhere,
while telegraphing an Eddie turn. So, of course they went the obvious
route.

I am sure heel Eddie will rule, but a change of pace would have been
nice.

People are buying Spike as a heel, and he's billed at 25 pounds
lighter than Rey.

For Eddie to stay over as a heel, he should borrow some of Scotty
the Body's GWF lines about The Handsome Stranger ("he wears a mask
because he has a hideous scar", "in real life he's a garbageman",
etc).
