TNA NOTES & NEWS ON LOCKDOWN, KEVIN NASH, HARD JUSTICE PPV MAIN EVENT AND MORE by Mike Johnson @ 4:00:00 PM on 4/20/2005
AJ Styles vs. Abyss is currently scheduled to close out the Lockdown PPV, with the winner going on to face NWA champion Jeff Jarrett at the May PPV. The two names that have been tossed around internally as being brought in to work as a special referee for the May PPV Jarrett title defense are UFC star Tito Ortiz and Mr. T.
Kevin Nash is said to be trying to receive medical clearance to compete at the Lockdown PPV this weekend. If Nash doesn't get clearance, he is still scheduled to appear at the PPV. I give TNA a lot of credit for getting the word out as quickly as they did as opposed to waiting until the day of the show and pulling a bait and switch on the paying fans. If I was in charge, I would make the call to add Dusty Rhodes (who would get a ton of heat on him since he's booker, so it probably won't happen) or BG Jammes (playing off the New Age Outlaws team with Outlaw, which is probably a more likely idea since they can continue that storyline) to the match. I haven't heard a definitive plan on the substitute yet.
NWA Cyberspace is running Saturday 4/30 in Wayne, New Jersey at the PAL with NWA champion Jeff Jarrett vs. Cyberspace champion Slyck Wagner Brown, Michael Shane vs. Stryker (Best of Three Falls), April Hunter & Tracy Brooks vs. Jazz & Cindy Rogers, Cruiser-X champion Sonjay Dutt vs. The Grimm Reefer, Chris Candido vs. Mike Kruel and more to be announced. For ticket information, visit http://www.nwacyberspace.com.

This is a waste of DDP & Sean, but not much of one.
| *AJ Styles vs. Abyss for May NWA championship bout
Hugh waste of AJ Styles.
| *TNA X-Division champion Christopher Daniels vs. Elix Skipper
Show-stealer, easily!!
| *NWA Tag Team champions America's Most Wanted vs. Team Canada
The announcers will ruin this one.
| *Jeff Hardy vs. Raven - Tables Match
Could be a lot better than most will expect.
| *Dustin Rhodes vs. Bobby Rude - "Prince of Darkness" match
This should be on Heat. Errr.... you know what I mean.
| *Shocker vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Chris Sabin vs. Michael Shane - Xscape Match
Ooooh. They'll try to get match of the night but won't quite top Skipper/Daniels.
| *Lance Hoyt vs. Apolo
Another match that should be on Heat instead.
| *3 Live Kru vs. The Naturals & Chris Candido vs. Buck Quartermain & Lex | Lovett & David Young. (Pre-Game show, not a Cage Bout)
Waste of Ron Killings and David Young.
