WWE to USA and WWE 24/7

Hack-Man 8 March 2005 11:06:03
If WWE moves Raw and other non-Smackdown shows to USA, what's the
chance that Raw, etc could be simulcast on WWE 24/7 without the
commercials?

USA might not like it because of lower ratings, but WWE would
probably take the decreased income from ad revenue for increased
number of people signing up for WWE 24/7.

Then matches that "break for commercials" would be seen in their
entirety on WWE 24/7.

They could even do a deal where "our two hours on USA are up, but if
you're watching this on WWE 24/7--we'll keep broadcasting this main
event; for everyone else--we'll show highlights next week!"

I know during WCW's peak, Bischoff had the idea of running Nitro
with no commercials (but having Ford or Budweiser or some company
"sponsor" the entire three hour show).

They could also show a replay of Raw later Monday night (Tuesday
morning) and a couple more times during the week.

They could bring back Tough Enough (the reality show, not the
abomination that was TE4) and Confidential--making them "WWE
24/7-only" shows.

Those non-broadcast main events that take place after the Raw telecast ends
could also be shown on WWE 24/7.
They could also show a replay of Raw later Monday night (Tuesday> morning) and a couple more times during the week.

This is where WWE having their own cable outlet would be superb - re-
running the week's programming, ad-free.

I have a feeling that a lot of people here would be wearing out DVR units
if this sort of thing came to pass.

These are stupid ideas.
