 Geez, considering it is about $50 for one surfboard rear foot pad, I'd
shudder to think what full deck EVA pads cost for the new beginner's boards.
Try VHT (car stuff) color dye.... used for recolouring car seats etc, in a
spray can. I'm guessing you'll pay a good $100-$200 for the deck pads, plus
the "fun" of ripping them off, scraping it all back and trying to glue new
ones on with contact adhesive. If you put them on crooked they will not come
off

 Sandpaper burnishes the faded layer off pretty well.
Or buy a sheet of pad material from NSA and replace them. It's no big task,
especially if you use gel contact cement (e.g., Weldwood Gel). Heck, glue on
new pads over the old for much less work and a REALLY cushy ride.
But either way they'll just fade again, so it's simplest to just quit
worrying about how it looks.
