i was going to do a huge bonair trip this year, but then i remembered i didn't have $4K.....so i was thinking about just hitting some local spots for a couple days at a time.
Anyone know if sleeping in my truck camper is allowed at cabrillo? Long beach at the marine stadium? ( i think you can stop feeding the meters after 6 or 7) Its only an hour further to isabella maybe i'll just head up there.
Cabrillo is only open from 6am to 10pm. and I think Long Beach Marine Stadium is the same. You can camp at Bolsa Chica State Beach (about 10 miles South of Long Beach) for $5 per day and have access to water and a dump station..
Isabella is 188 miles from Long Beach and takes about 3 hours to get there. Isabella charges a $5 daily rate or you can buy a $30 yearly pass at the Ranger station. I think they have cold water showers near the dam camp sites and they have water and a dump station for your camper.
