Actually, a simpled busted grip is out.

I think you're looking at it from the competition point of view
kid
Ive only been in one formal point break skydive, the 1995 POPS
scrambles up at SDD in which 3 other guys got me a bronze and I
probably gypped them out of a Silver or Gold because of having only 219
jumps at the time and strictly being a weekend zoo jumper up to that
point. otoh I look at RW from what goes on durning the Average weekend
at any given DZ that can rub 4 or more skydivers together.
busted grip, missed grip - still out.

Ya shouldn't be so negative kid, most skydivers are never going to be
in a formal competition, they will most probably spend a lifetime of
weekends
just trying to hack out a few points at their favorite DZ. So Attention
Novices; even though you miss a grip, relax and maintain the formations
altitude try to pick it up on the tarnsition to the next point (this
can be difficult because you' now out od sync and however many points
the formation was going for is now blown.....irregardless "soldier on!"
even though your prolly gonna catch hell after you land ROFL ;)>
you can always pick it up on the transition> >> >unless you're truely out of the formation
Yeah, well - you pick up that earlier grip on the transistion to
next point, you're behind the curve and still out.

tsk tsk tsk first pinnis fixation, now missed grip fear!
Yup its kinda like calling your shots> >> >in a 8 ball game....If jim's above or below the formation he's

him

Yup, gotta start at zero again.......Poor ole J.B. hahahaha

So Jerry lets see what we got so far, we agree JB ain't
in....must be a floater or old weekend flailer huh? heh heh>
We haven't addressed any one specific dive he's made.>
Well he's been around a while you know, its a shame he cain't rub two
points together yet 0~;-o

If the oject is to go up and build a point, competion or no, a busted
grip still remains out.

Oh, okay - busted grip, missed grip, might be almost in.

Most jumps I'm on where building points is the plan, it's not so much
building a pre-determined number but only as many as you can.

As opposed to being high or low to the formation fear?

No, not at zero but at wherever you left off.

So Jerry lets see what we got so far, we agree JB ain't>in....must be a floater or old weekend flailer huh? heh heh

We haven't talked anything except suppostion. You present a dive
which jb's on and then maybe we can take it further to whether he's in
or out.

We haven't addressed any one specific dive he's made.>>
Well he's been around a while you know, its a shame he cain't rub two>points together yet

Which is also (wishfull) supposition on your part since you've yet to
make a skydive with him or perhaps you're getting this from some
video?
As a Video Geek you probably don't>> >> >consider yourself a lurker but I do----------> GOT THAT Mr. boo>hoo>> >>

Yeah, perhaps - I swooped the pond last year and it rocked - ran the
length, dragged a foot for 200 feet, raised a rooster tail, and ran
out of steam about 8 feet from the far shore - settled in the water
standing up, waist deep. You can hear me laughing just before I turn
off the camera while the canopy is flopping ahead of me onto dry land.
First thing I did was go inside to show friends the video because I
knew they'd enjoy it - they did - and I bought beer since it was a
hilarious punctuation to an otherwise, really nice swoop - if I hadn't
dragged my foot so long I woulda made it out.
