	What's the best way to impove your slapshot off ice? My 12 year has a very good wrist shot but a very poor slapshot. Thanks for any information.

	I say, " Good!" Fundamentals first. Unless he is way above average in strength for his age he won't have a decent slapshot. I would get him to work on a quick, hard, precise SNAP shot now. This shot has a very quick release and is key in front of the net and the element of surprise. As well, the slap shot is basically a snap shot once the stick contacts the puck, just has a bigger wind up.
