Alot of guys play from the reds and there is nothing wrong with that the course is tough enough from there. They also have caddies that will carry for you just ask in the pro shop. Do not know the going rate for the caddies. When you play a course like the Black you have to pick out a distance more realistic than looking at the flag or dogleg. I have tried it on some very long courses and surprised myself with a decent score. Long as you do not have to carry hazards it works. Try it next time.
