A guy on local talk radio was putting down golfers with yellow shafts. I think his idea was that that meant they were hackers trying to buy a game. I think he's hung up on appearances. What difference does the color make!?!?!

Aren't MANY golfers?
When I'm browsing in golf shops, I regularly hear people say that a putter is: (take your pick) too large too small too ugly without any regard to how it performs (or to be more accurate how THEY perform with it).
What difference does the color make!?!?!
I think yellow (or any funky color) shafts are usually high-end shafts. So, he's probably making a general statement about hackers buying shafts that probably won't make a bit of difference to their swing.

It draws attention away from their pasty white legs and sharp red sunburn.
Although I did pick up a 4w this winter and it's got one of those unsightly yellow UST shafts.
