Yes, this does work....but it's certainly not free. You have to sign up for >a credit card account, or magazine subscription, or something else of the >sort....usually you'll end up paying $30-$50. I found it much easier to just go to the Apple Store and buy one.
Didn't have to wait 5 months and my friends don't hate me for pushing
this type of crap on them.

Yes, this does work....but it's certainly not free. You have to sign up for
a credit card account, or magazine subscription, or something else of the
sort....usually you'll end up paying $30-$50. ( a good deal for an
ipod )...but you also have to push this on your friends, and get them to
sign up for the same offers. On top of that, you must provide these people
with your email address, and a regular postal address, and check the box
saying that it's okay for them to sell your information to whomever they
want...then you'll have to put up with an overload of spam and junk email,
and the equivalent of that in your regular mailbox too.

But, aside from all that. It's free! A friend of mine did all this and
just got his iPod. He signed up with this same web site back in october,
and was all gung-ho about it from the start...he just got it. I really
don't see a problem with the whole program, as long as you know what you're
getting yourself into when you do it.
