I should say that Vijay has really cleaned up on #6, most of his wins are there, while most of El Tigre's wins are #1-4
I assume you really mean the Players Championship. TPC at Sawgrass is the *course*.

Is the Rider's Cup part of 6? How about the LPGA majors?
I think you're missing a few, the Southern Farm Bureau classic and the BC Open are not on your list anywhere

The TOUR Championship and the Mercedes probably belong in #3. 4 and 5 to some extent are splitting hairs and their popularity has as much to do with their place on the schedule as anything else. Truth is, after #3, I suspect the players make decisions as much on schedule, geography, and course/tournament features as they do prestige. Disney gets better fields than it deserves because the families like to come along.

The TOUR Championship and the Mercedes probably belong in #3.
I'd put them in between , at "3 1/2". They're not quite on a par with the WGC events just becuase the fields are even more restricted.
4 and 5 to some extent are splitting hairs and their popularity. . .
This year's Buick was really good, but it's not always this strong. And AT&T is probably less strong than it used to be.
Bay Hill and the Memorial do have a reputation for getting strong fields every year, largely because of Arnold and Jack. The Western Open and Nelson have been similarly strong, but a little less so.
I think that Doral and Quail Hollow may soon be at the level of #5. Even though it's new, I get the feeling that the players really like the course at Quail Hollow.

Surely you'd have to rate Colonial and the Canadian Open ahead of "the rest". I'd put them before #5 even.

Colonial
A course only Cory Pavin could love... and who's plaid *is* that?
and the Canadian Open
"So like, why's that puck round and white? Eh?"
Waaait. You must be a Canadian of Scot descent? Got it, wink-wink, nod-nod (to the tune of I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK)

I'm Waiting for an obligatory attack about Colonial being the best test of golf because Tiger doesn't play it Or a kneejerk reaction from Canadians still smarting from the South Park Movie Oh gosh, or have I offended Scots yet?
Well, back to a wee dram and a Cigar while I imagine which role in Caddyshack TomCat and Kenny would be best cast in

As a spectator, I want to see something other than straight medal play. Rider's Cup then either the WGC or International is more enjoyable to me than most of the tournaments mentioned above.
