Vijay does use a 9 wood on occasion, however, it's bent open, which I believe makes it a stronger loft. One could say that it's a pseudo-9 wood.

I think it's 9 wood sized head, with 7 wood loft and 5 wood shaft length. An older model Callaway Steelhead Plus. Bent 4.83* open. Or something like that.

I've seen this description of Vijay's 9w before. Firstly, i thought that if you opened the face you would add loft. Secondly, if the face is 7 degrees open, why doesn't he hit everything to the right?
