Got back in the game in November, after about a 7 year leave of absence. Got my first sub-40 (39) 9'er in today...too bad the front was a 45. Great conditions, only a light breeze. NO DOUBLES! NO 3-PUTTS!
Yesterday at 41 front and a 48 back, but the wind was a little more stiff, playing directly into the wind on several of the up-hill holes. Saturday, another 41, but on the back, w/a 45 front. I gotta put 2 good halves together. I'm tryin'...
Sorry...I had to tell someone...The wife isn't the least bit interested! (well, you probably aren't either...)

I'm interested. Hell, for a 41-48 round, I'd do some very twisted things. (Film at 11)

Never read 'em...hehe.
My driver is OK; in fact it's one of the better parts of my game. What's unusual is that although my drives are good, my irons are short in comparison... My 150 club is a 5I, yet I can often carry 250 off the tee. I've struggled with a 3-wood, so I don't carry one, but my 5-wood is fairly accurate and has a decent carry. The part that is really saving me is chipping in tight from just off the green. I can't get to all the par 4's in regulation, but putting the call in decent 1-putt range is allowing me to save a lot of pars.
BTW...I finally did it today. Nearly the same conditions as yesterday...calm, until the last 3 holes and then the wind picked up a little...10-15, I would guess. 40 front, 39 back. I did have one double on each side though...bummer-ewski!
