In addition to inviting Michelle Wie to some tournaments, the LPGA should also invite Ashleigh Simon. Unlike Wie, Simon has won a pro event in the South African Ladies tour (or whatever it is called). If Ashleigh Simon is invited and manages to win the tournament, it would create a lot more buzz that will help women's golf than Wie finishing 10th or 20th or whatever...

Yeah, but if Michelle Wie wins, there will be considerably more buzz than if Ashleigh wins. If you're going to apply the "if" to Ashleigh's chances, you should also apply that same "if" to Michelle's.

Either you did not read my post closely or deliberately ignored the point I made. Ashleigh Simon has the experience of winning a pro event under her belt. At the current stage of their games, Ashleigh Simon is a LOT more likely to win a LPGA event than Michelle Wie. There is no substitute for having the experience of having gone through the fire and come out the winner of a pro event.

"no substitute" ? How about major flipping talent...how's that for a substitute? Dave
As near as we can tell, it was on 2/25/2005 3:30 PM when Jonathan Brimsfield transmitted as follows:

I think after the episode where she walked off the set of Saturday Night Live, her chances of getting an invitation are pretty slim....

Unless every winner on the LPGA tours wins only once this season, thee is going to be some very good golfers without a victory this season. There simply is not enough tournaments for Natalie Gulbis, thier Kerr, Morgan Pressel, Christina KIm, Michille Wie and Loreno Ochao to all get wins. A couple of talented golfers will be quite sad at the end of this season, even if they play their best. Factor in also all the talented Korean and Japanese players who win regularly. Have't even mentioned Creamer or Annika. The competiton this year in LPGA is going to firece and alot of fun to watch. I just hope Gulbis gets her first win, she's worked hard for it, but again so have all the others. Tom

Ok I'll mention Annika. She'll win another 6 tourneys, and the rest can scramble for the crumbs.
