I'm always up for a round or two. I rarely play during the week, but almost any weekend is good. With enough advance notice, I could take a day or two off for weeday play.

gathering that consisted of one round of golf with three guys!
We started small and will build upon that, however our contingent has
already been reduced by 1/3 when Gordo moved out of state.
The paradox for a golf event in Phoenix is the choice of
good weather but $100+ rates

I think the only way to attract out-of-towners would be a winter
season event which would likely be pretty spendy.

Did not see the notice for the event. If I'd been in town, I'd have brought a hacker buddy, and joined you.
Though I play at a local club, we both use the Southwest PGA card for 1/2 off rack-rate at other spots (not the Troon group, but many others). If you put together another PHX outing, we'd be glad to join up. It'd be just a couple of high-handicappers, but two guys, who enjoy golf.
