You became a senior because another player was using an illegal lob wedge? Bummer.
Ok, 'fess up, who's been using illegal lob wedges near Strauss?

You can play whatever the heck tees you want. If your league is some kind of "net" league where handicaps are involved, your handicap would have to be adjusted compared to the other participants but that is not very hard to do. It's based on the slope and rating of the course you are playing.

For Strauss to get that old it would have to be a whole army of people swinging at the same time. --

In my opinion, competing means you play the same course under the same set of rules...the 34 in the rule book. Any thing else, whether it is an illegal club, shorter tees, or hot golf balls is against the spirit of the game and is cheating. I've actually had this happen to me in a club tournament (2 people said they only play from the white tees so they should also get to do that in club tournaments) and one of them tied me for 2nd gross in championship flight!! Cost me about $400 in the calcutta because he cheated and the head professional didn't have the guts to tell him he had to play the same tees! Needless to say, I'm at a different club...one there is NEVER a question about which tees you play and my fellow members are honorable!! Keith Johnson
