See what I mean?
I have an Intel iMac. I have XP installed on it.
I use OS X for all of the serious work I run games on the Wintendo side.

Just curious, but what is it about Win2000 that sucks so much> compared to XP. They are pretty much the exact same from> everything I've seen except for a few little window dressings.
Well, first of all, I did say "kinda." It's not a whopping big difference, like say, Win95 -> Win2000.
A lot of it is just little things I get used to, like Windows Fax and Image Viewer. A big part of it is the simple fact that XP runs a LOT faster than Win2000 does, and since that's a production box for me, it slows down my ability to produce content. Not fatally, just annoyingly.
You also can't get Exploder v.7 for Win2000. I kinda like that browser.

But is that your "serious work"?
Yes. Is this a trick question? I do a good chunk of my office work on the mac. Put the powerpoint, excel and word files on a thumb drive and use the windoze machine in the classroom to edit or project the same files. It's not a problem.

But that makes no sense as an assumption.>
Most of the geeks in this here chatrum wouldn't consider the "everyday" tasks of office automation and communication as "serious work."
My apologies for lumping you in improperly.
