We did that last month, but we had a toddler and his octagenarian great-grandmother catch it with us. That's the first stomach virus I've had since 1994. Our kid's not even in school, but somehow manages to bring home every cold in metro DC.

That's not a bad idea. Neighbors down the street had similar symptoms that never seems to go away for long.
Turned out there was a pipe inside a wall that had been peirced, just barely, by a drywall screw. It was fine for a couple of years but finaly rusted away and had been dripping, slowly for years. The inside of that wall cavity was filled with mold. They finally figured it out by looking in the crawlspace and noticed the wet subfloor, which also had mold.
They ended up moving out while all the carpet was replaced and that wall was torn out to repair the pinprick in that pipe.
